It is time to retire!!!

Today, I retired Rebekah and Kiwi.  They have laid four clutches with four eggs in each.  The first three clutches were all infertile.  Rebekah's body was most likely weak from the three clutches that she had laid prior.  Thus, the live baby in the forth clutch was weak and laking nutrients.  The other half of it is that this was the first live birth and the parents did not know what to do with the baby.  As you have seen lately that a live birth or hatching was produced but, it was found dead two days later.   Rebekah needs to rest and build up her body and play. The nest box is sealed off from Kiwi and Rebekah so that it won't stimulate them to produce.  The nest box will be open at a later unknown date.
